Rochdale, United Kingdom Rochdale Council Full time

**About the Role**

We are excited to announce **two fantastic new opportunities** for **Housing Officers (Migration)** to join our Strategic Housing team and contribute towards our vision of delivering outstanding housing services across the Borough. Given the current national context around asylum and refugee resettlement,

Rochdale Borough Council is expanding its capacity to ensure that asylum seekers and refugees receive support as early as possible within the asylum system.

These newly created roles will sit directly within the Council's Housing Services but will work closely within a **cross-departmental team**, focusing on key thematic areas and **outcome-driven interventions**. These areas include community resettlement and navigation, employment and skills development, and access to housing.

**About you**

As a **Housing Officer (Migration)**, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating and supporting the Council’s response to key national initiatives, including the **Homes for Ukraine Scheme**, **ARAP/ACRS Resettlement**, and supporting other households resettling in Rochdale. You will have the opportunity to continually improve processes and procedures in response to these national schemes, ensuring we remain at the forefront of new developments in housing and migration services.

In this role, you’ll also work closely with a wide range of stakeholders, partners, and agencies, such as **Serco**, the **Home Office**, the **Regional Strategic Migration Partnership**, the **Greater Manchester Combined Authorities **By building strong relationships, you will help to enhance the support provided to individuals and families in asylum dispersal and contingency accommodation.

You will also support the setup of a **new Rochdale Refugee Asylum Support service (RRASS)**, closely linked with existing Council services, taking a collaborative approach across multiple directorates, including **Works & Skills,** **Adult Care** and **Children’s Services and wider Council teams.**

We are looking for passionate individuals who are committed to making a real, positive difference in the lives of residents across our Borough. You will be enthusiastic about playing a proactive role in helping us achieve our housing and integration goals.

In this role, you will embrace the challenge of working with **colleagues**, **customers**, **landlords**, **tenants**, **developers**, and **third sector partners** to deliver real outcomes.

**About us**

If you are excited by the prospect of making a meaningful difference to housing and community integration in Rochdale, we want to hear from you
