We have an exciting opportunity to join our Water Service Planning team as our Strategic Water Resource Option Lead. You will work collaboratively with Yorkshire Water and United Utilities in delivering the Kielder Strategic Resource Option. This initially includes investigating the feasibility of exports of raw water to neighboring water companies and beyond.

You’ll also take responsibility for the development and coordination of Water Resources North’s (WReN) sector groups in energy and agriculture with the aim to enhance collaboration with WReN’s regional planning and governance. This will ensure all stakeholders are integrated into the planning processes to facilitate water resource management.

Active engagement with senior leaders will be the foundation of this role as you’ll build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including other Strategic Water Resource Leads and regional sector leads.

You’ll collaborate with project delivery teams to ensure we meet regulatory and internal targets. This means you’ll form strong relationships with regulators like Ofwat and the Environment agency.

You’ll serve as the Non-PWS sector lead, working to establish clear vision and objectives.

**About you**

If you are a proactive, results orientated leader we want to hear from you.

You’ll use your experience delivering capital investment projects and knowledge of operating in a regulated environment to ensure we meet our regulatory requirements.

We’re seeking budget management experience as you’ll be responsible for setting and achieving financial goals. Therefore, you’ll possess effective communication and relationship management abilities to build successful relationships.
