The Duke of Oxford is a **family-run pub, restaurant and bar**. We pride ourselves on serving great food and drinks in a welcoming, all-inclusive environment. We are now looking for an **experienced, friendly, and professional person** to join our front of house team.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should:

- Be confident working across all areas of bar and restaurant service.
- Have barista coffee experience and good product knowledge.
- Understand basic licensing requirements.
- Be comfortable managing multiple tables and delivering excellent service to our restaurant guests.
- Be personable, approachable, and professional when dealing with customers and colleagues alike.
- Handle complaints calmly and effectively, escalating to management where appropriate.
- Be flexible, reliable, and a strong team player, while also capable of working independently when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, creating a positive first impression.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of hospitality.
- Manage orders and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure smooth service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation across the front of house.
- Support the wider team when needed, including occasional cellar duties or setup tasks.
- Uphold food safety and health & safety standards at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Evening and weekend availability is essential.
- Flexibility with working hours.
- Previous experience in a pub/restaurant environment is highly desirable.
