Personal Training Apprenticeship

Champneys - We are the premier Health Spa company in the UK, and we are looking for passionate and dedicated Fitness Apprentices to join our team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse and dynamic groups of people, helping them to achieve their fitness goals in a supportive and empowering environment.

The role will involve a varied shift pattern, including evenings and weekends, and over time with ongoing training you will be able to teach a variety of classes, both indoors and outdoors, as well as on poolside. Our apprentices have the opportunity to work with clients of all ages and fitness levels, including beginners, athletes, and seniors.

In addition to learning how to teach some fitness classes, you will also be learning how to create personalised workout plans and providing one-on-one training sessions.

Apprentices play a crucial role in our industry allowing hands on experience from within an already established team - this will allow the apprentice to learn from the best in the industry.

To ensure that our apprentices are providing the best possible service to our clients, we offer ongoing educational courses and professional development opportunities. These trainings will help you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and techniques in the fitness industry, and will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to excel in your role.

Day to day roles could include running of the fitness desk, checking in members, shadowing and creating fitness class content, learning the variety of systems and procedures including health and safety and cleaning checks. As the apprentice develops we would expect them to begin to deliver some fitness classes and begin to take gym inductions and offer one to one trainings.

The most important skill is that you are willing to learn & proactive of your own success. However some desirable Skills are as below: Technical Skills - Knowledge of human anatomy and exercise physiology - Willing to gain experience with programming and designing safe and effective exercise programs for a diverse population - Ability to learn on the job to instruct and demonstrate proper exercise form and technique Soft Skills: - Strong communication skills - Positive attitude and ability to motivate and inspire clients - Ability to work well in a team environment - Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills - Flexibility and adaptability to work with members as well as hotel guests of varying fitness levels and goals - Strong customer service skills and ability to build positive relationships with our Club Members and Guests as well as your team and other departments. - Passion for health and wellness

**Qualifications required**
- No Qualifications or Experience is Required.
However:

- Experience working with a diverse population is preferred but not essential.
- Work experience in a fitness based gym/ health club or hotel environment is a plus.

**Future prospects**

Many apprentices are offered full time roles on completion of the course.
