This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a **Production Manager** with**International Timber**where the focus to lead and develop a positive culture with strong health and safety performance while putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. To drive and deliver operational excellence through continuousimprovement activities and work closely with sales and operations teams to meet and exceed customer expectations.

As a **Production Manager**with**International Timber** the key responsibilities are:

- Responsibility for the management of HSE, including permit to work, risk assessments, investigation and reporting of incidents and accidents and environmental compliance.
- Consistent delivery of high quality product from the line.
- Managing the team to achieve the best results.
- Take responsibilities to cover for site operations manager as and when required.
- Responsible for the operational performance of the Production Centre.
- Effectively leading and managing the operating team with regard to performance management, recruitment, absence management, communication of team briefings.
- Proactive team development to meet business commitments and requirements.
- Accurately managing costs in-line with the departmental budget.
- Providing support and resource for continuous improvement activities.
- Compliance to statutory / legal company policies and procedures the allocated funds.

**Am I who you are looking for?**

To be suitable for the **Production Manager**with**International Timber**you need to have:

- Proven experience in managing production in a fast paced customer orientated environment.
- Proven experience managing large team including, supervisors, deputy supervisors, operators.
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Production or Industrial engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Experience in EHS and driving positive cultural change.
- Application of Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies (lean, six sigma, 5S, Kaizen approach, theory of constraint, etc.)
- Effective people management skills with demonstrable ability to lead, coach and motivate a team.
- Experience with 24 hours operations / production, manufacturing or heavy industry environment (desirable).
- Digital tools exposure Industry 4.0 (desirable).
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
- Strong motivation, willingness to learn, and ambition to progress through the organisation.
- Strong planning skills and ability to solve problems and make effective decisions quickly.
- Good communicator, strong IT/analytical skills, particularly Excel & Word.
