**Client Details**
Our client is a well established national business that is experiencing rapid growth. This growth will create opportunities for the Trainee Business Analyst to progress within the business in the future. The business currently has a turnover of £65 million,which is double the amount from 2018, and it has a plan to increase turnover to c. £100 million within the next 3-4 years. Notwithstanding the growth it is experiencing, the working environment has retained that supportive, inclusive and family feel.
**Description**
You will be reporting into the Business Analyst and will be working as part of the commercial finance team, which is a team of four. Once you have received all of the necessary training, your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Monthly gross margin analysis and reporting
- Weekly monitoring and reporting of project costings
- Maintaining and ensuring the integrity of project WIP Trackers, ensuring all cost and sales transactions are captured and analysed accordingly
- Monitoring project progress and managing issues that may arise
- Creating and maintaining clear and comprehensive project documentation, plans and reporting
- Ensuring standards are met through conducting quality assurance
- Assessing and analysing risks and opportunities, working closely with the Business Analyst
- Effectively communicating project status and milestones to key stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for improvements in processes and work with the Finance/Operations and Estimate Management team to resolve
- Align WIP calculations and management for all contract partners
- Work with Operations to identify and undertake gap analysis
**Profile**
To be considered for this role, you do not need experience of the above duties, as training will be provided. The role would ideally suit someone who has some experience of working in finance, projects or operations, but it is not essential to have workedin one of these areas. However, you must:
- have good Excel skills (i.e. the ability to do v look ups and pivot tables)
- have good communication skills, as you will be liaising with the the Operations team
