**Joint Support Unit Corsham Statement of Function**

To provide personnel support to all at MoD Corsham, including Lodger Units and their associated communities. In particular, the Unit is to provide the following services: Personnel Management, Training, Security, Medical, Dental and Chaplaincy.

**Joint Service Administration Unit Statement of Function**

To provide Personnel Management to all Service personnel at MoD Corsham, including Lodger Units and their associated communities.

**Individual Tasks/Responsibilities**
- JSAU HR Clerks are responsible to the SNCO JSAU for:

- The administration of personnel allocated to their HR Section.
- Preparing and processing all computer inputs affecting an individual's record.
- Dealing with routine observations on documents for action received from the Tri-Service Manning Agencies and DBS.
- Initial investigation and response to pay and allowances queries.
- Raise/complete current check sheets and associated paper work for actioning:
(1) Attachments/Detachments.

(2) Postings In and Out
- Action relevant paperwork in respect of:
(1) Absence and associated travel.

(2) Changes in family circumstances notification - refer marital separations to SNCO JSAU or WO JSAU.

(3) Changes in recorded personnel data.

(4) Course results.

(5) Dependants Fund and Income Trust.

(6) Food and Accommodation Charges.

(7) Promotions, LAC to SAC only.

(8) ID Cards & Discs.

(9) Temporary duty.

(10) X and Q annotations.

(11) External correspondence concerning pay: ie Building Society letters.

(12) LSA, GYH(T) claims.

(13) Forces Help To Buy (FHTB) - Respond to initial enquiries; refer claimants to SNCO JSAU.

(14) AIP - Respond to initial queries ensure all applicants submit Gen App with supporting evidence of qualification(s) pass to SNCO JSAU. Do not take JPA action until instructed to do so.

(15) Commitment Bonuses - Respond to initial queries and raise paperwork. Pass to SNCO JSAU. Do not take JPA action until instructed to do so.
- Preparing routine correspondence both internal and external.
- Extracting data from records kept as required by JSAU staff for management purposes.
- Preparation of personnel nominated for OOA deployment including the timely completion of DWR preparation certificates, Pre-Employment Training (PET) and IRT as required. Raise relevant Check Sheet and ensure the timely completion of all required actions. Ensure personnel are prepared iaw the latest Prep Instructions - always refer to A1 Ops website for currency.
- Ensure all Operational Stress Management data is recorded on JPA iaw extant regulations.
- Preparation of personnel nominated for CMRS/ERS/EAW in accordance with current regulations.
- Raise associated OOA welfare information for personnel proceeding on deployment.
- Action, co-ordinate and manage the Termination process for personnel. Ensure timely completion of all required actions. Raise and ensure the timely completion of all relevant Check Sheet actions.
- Action, co-ordinate and manage the notification of pregnancies process for serving female personnel. Raise relevant Check Sheet and ensure the timely completion of all required actions.
- Ensure all check sheets raised are current versions and taken from the original source document.
- Booking all civil and trooping flights associated with assignments/duty and the prompt notification of the flight details to individual personnel and the gaining unit if required.
- File completed check sheets, preparation forms and all other correspondence correctly and in a timely manner.
- Correctly action any internal postings and ensure that the individual's associated allowances have recommenced.
- t. The safe custody and issuing and recording of Spec Cat forms (Travel warrants/rail cards).- Cover the duties of the other HR Clerks as required.
- Manage, review and maintain all personnel documents held for their HR Section. Pers Docs are to be checked for content and format upon arrival, at least annually and prior to forwarding on posting. ‘Weeding' action to remove surplus documents is to be taken iaw extant regulations.
- Any other duties allocated by the Military Staff which may reasonably be expected to ensure the efficient running of JSAU.
