**Driver Trainer / Assessor - Preston - Salary DOE**

The new role will be based at our Preston depot and will be responsible for driving assessments and training and development of the existing fleet in Distribution.
- To deliver all aspects of training to the drivers,
- Train members in safe use of Tail Lift, PDA use
- Carry out driving assessments
- Carry out site inductions across various sites
- Review and record driver infringements
- Deliver Safe Systems of Work to all drivers
- Ensure all training records are kept up to date and filled securely
- Dealing with Senior Management
- Interviewing LGV 1 drivers and allocating them shifts
- Monitor in cab Drive Cam events to improve standards
- Deliver DCPC and deal directly with JAUPT
- Experienced LGV 1&2 Driver
- Excellent presentation skills
- Excellent knowledge of EU and Working Time Regulations
- RTITB qualification in assessing LGV & FLT (desirable but not essential)
- PC literate
- A good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
- A professional approach displaying credibility
- Awareness of Transport and Health and Safety legislation
