**Title**: COOK / Café Assistant

**Report to**: Café Manager

**Hours**: Flexible, part time weekends and covering shifts

**Holidays**: starting on 28 days pro rata to include bank holidays

**Salary**:
As an experienced Cook Café Assistant you will share responsibility for delivering excellent levels of customer service and high quality food. and drinks. All staff have to be flexible in their roles and willing to undertake a variety of tasks and duties.

The café alongside Co-Options other social enterprises provides supported employment opportunities for local adults with learning disabilities. You will therefore be expected to help facilitate the integration of adults we support into the day to day activities of the café.

**Your main duties and responsibilities**

Preparing and cooking our menu with high quality food production.

Producing drinks to the required standards (including a range of different expresso based coffee’s, serving customers and taking payments.

Delivering excellent levels of customer service standards

Assisting with health and safety standards.

Assisting with people’s wellbeing at all times in terms of physical safety and mental health in accordance with Co-Options policies and procedures

Occasionally having to cover colleagues during periods of sickness and holidays.

Attend training as directed by the café manager or Co-Options senior management team.

Driving duties that may include collecting items from suppliers or transport duties for some of the adults with disabilities that we support.

Having an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the café both internally and externally.

Other relevant duties as directed by the café manager or senior managers.

**Key Attributes**

The Ability to work within a team environment sometime under pressure during the busy spring and summer period

Being able to demonstrate exemplary customer service skills and have a pride in how the café meets customers demand and is perceived within the local community.

Great attention to detail in the quality of food products produced.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: Up to £11.00 per hour
