Aircraft Spray Painter

Satys Sealing & Painting UK is a subsidiary of Satys Group specialising in surface protection based on the Airbus UK site in Broughton.

We are recruiting an experienced Spray Painter who will be developed through the company milestone training programme to become a Senior Painter.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be initially trained in addition to your existing skillset in all aspects of surface preparation, paint spraying techniques, mixing of different types of paint, general maintenance of work tools and equipment specific to the aerospace industry.

Main duties will include, but not limited to, the following:

- Carrying out basic inspections.
- Cleaning/degreasing of materials, prior to painting.
- Surface preparation, prior to painting.
- Cleaning/degreasing of materials post surface preparation.
- Detailed masking.
- Paint Preparation.
- Electrostatic Equipment set up.
- De-masking post paint/checking areas for F.O.D.
- Application of temporary coatings
- Certification of operations to conform to internal/customer requirements.

**Experience & Skills**

The requirements for the role are:

- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in surface preparation and surface refinishing by spray gun method (Essential).
- NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Body and Paint Operations (Desirable).
- Good communication skills.
- A team player ensuring you are reliable and punctual.
- Excellent attention to detail.

**Hours of Work**

The company operates a 24/7 shift pattern of 4 x 4 rotating shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off). Shift and time premiums are attached to the working patterns.
