After connection issues, the biggest cause of test harness or test lead failure is cable/wire breakage. At Jackmark, we have addressed this problem by producing our own cable management system, which is both flexible and extremely hard-wearing. It utilises a dual-type strain relief system, and is resistant to automotive fuels and coolants. We can also accommodate extremely high temperatures where necessary.

In the case of high density or ‘micro-pitch’-type connections, Jackmark has an unconventional approach. Our pneumatically-operated tile connector, originally developed for vehicle harness testing, has been successfully used in several customers' engine test facilities as a ‘zero insertion force’ test interface.

This qualification is aimed at those who undertake work to manufacture and produce - As above but includes Engine Test components, Wiring Harnesses, Sub-Assembly connectors and Test Connectors.

**Working Week**:
**08:00-17:00 Mon-Thursday**

LEAN MANUFACTURING OPERATIVE L2 STANDARD

This apprenticeship standard is for new entrants or

those wanting to progress their career within the

manufacturing sector.

Those wishing to develop knowledge, skills and

behaviours to carry out their work safely and

meet the exacting quality standards demanded in a

fast paced and efficient processing environment

and develop into a multi-skilled operator through process ownership.

**Skills Required: Attention to detail, able to follow instructions, measure using hand tools.**

**Personal Qualities Required**:
**Good Listener, Timekeeping, Respect in the workplace, communication skills**

**Does the applicant need a driving license? No Is your business located on a bus route? Yes**

**Future Progression: Can applicants progress into full-time employment with your company? **Yes fulltime employment and possible progression onto a L3 Apprenticeship

The Apprenticeship in Lean 2 Manufacturing will be provided by Stepping Stones Education & Training.
