**HR Assistant**
**Job Description**:
**Salary**: £25,000 (Full Time Equivalent)
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Location: Hybrid Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire/Remote

**Background**

Trauma Recovery CIC offer trauma focused therapy to victims/survivors of trauma regardless of when the experience took place.

Clients engage with the service from various backgrounds and we are able to offer time limited free therapy as well as open ended self funded therapy.

The service works with a variety of organisations to secure funding for their service users.

Trauma Recovery launched in October 2020 offering free time limited trauma therapy and affordable rates for open ended therapy for all survivors of sexual, domestic and/or relational trauma in Hertfordshire and
Bedfordshire.
The service has expanded to cover Essex and Cambridgeshire and so our team is expanding to meet demand.

**Job Summary**
This role enables you to be part of an award-winning, innovative team that brings together a creative and dynamic way of working to create a quality service for all clients.

You will work as part of our Operations team providing the HR administration for the Trauma Recovery CIC.
You will work part time and your hours will be split between on site working in Welwyn Garden City and remote working from home. You will attend regular meetings with Directors and Executive Assistant, and will be self motivated to work independently.

Your HR experience will enable Trauma Recovery CIC to ensure that our policies and procedures meet the needs of our employed, volunteer and associate team members. The HR support your provide will ensure that the team are able to provide trauma focused support to the public with the backup of a robust supportive work environment.

You will develop relationships with team members in order to develop the HR offering within Trauma Recovery CIC.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Assist with the recruitment process (interview planning and inviting to interview)
- Manage new starter processes: drafting (from organisation template) and issuing contracts (for Director sign off); completing checks for DBS vetting; gathering references through to day one onboarding
- Compile, update and maintain employee records on organisation database, this will include recruitment, holiday and sickness records
- Assisting with employee relation issues such as discipline, grievance, capability and absence
- Support line managers with yearly performance reviews
- Review, update and publish Trauma Recovery CIC policies and procedures when required
- Audit, maintain and update training records including e-learning
- Assist with Trauma Recovery CIC training days
- Liase with Directors
- Liase with our Human Resources Partner
- Support internal and external inquires and requests relating to HR
- Produce reports/updates for Directors as required
- Commit to continuous professionals development to ensure best practice

- Execute and assist with administrative support as needed

- Work closely with Operations Team members to develop systems to improve the organisation
- Assist with monitoring data to develop the service

**Person Specification**
We are looking for an exceptional individual with a passion for developing HR within a not for profit trauma focused organisation

**Knowledge and experience**
- Experience of working in HR administration
- Experience of working with online HR management systems
- Experience of working with databases and Microsoft Office
- Experience of working independently and as part of a team
- Experience of working within a not for profit organisation is desirable

- To provide TRCIC a minimum notice of at least 4 weeks if leaving the service
- To provide TRCIC a minimum notice of 4 weeks for holidays or any planned breaks
- To participate and assist with all research, feedback and evaluation projects by accurate data completion.
- Ability to engage with individuals with different cultural needs and to work in a manner which is culturally sensitive
