_Our client is currently looking for a Finance Analyst to join their busy team in Oxford_

The Finance Analyst will be supporting the Finance Team (Business Performance) as well as the company's Stakeholder Group in accordance with the best practice benchmarks used by our client to measure effectiveness; becoming a vital part of the Finance serviceprovision to Sponsors, Colleges, Students and other key stakeholder groups.

The Finance Analyst will be part of the Finance Team (Business Performance) with a hands-on approach providing finance support to senior managers, Colleges and Students and be expected to add value to a high-energy environment with extremely motivated peopleand take particular responsibility for ensuring that appropriate financial policies and procedures are emplaced and that compliance requirements are fulfilled.

As well as being a highly motivated, the Finance Analyst will be a team-orientated person, capable of adding value to the Finance Team, a self-starter who is able to use their initiative and be an active and productive member of a cross functional team.

**Finance AnalystDuties**:
It is expected that the Finance Analyst will take involvement in the following areas:

- Actively participate in and support month/year end close process
- Calculate monthly Royalty provisions
- Prepare Royalty payments to University Partners, liaising with colleges on approvals, amendments, etc.
- Maintain Fixed Asset Registers
- Balance sheet reconciliations across all UPE entities
- Liaising with tax department on running of VAT reports across UPE entities, reconciling to GL and agreeing payments
- Corporation Tax calculation at month/year end, reconciling to GL and providing analysis for statutory financial statements
- Assisting with Navigate price uploads across UPE entities
- Assist with statutory audits
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting process
- Maintain Cashflow forecast
- Support other finance projects as and when required
- Participate in induction and orientation activities as required
- Any other duties or tasks as directed by the Line Manager
- Undertake such other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of this post to ensure the effective delivery and development of financial service to the Universities Pathways Network

**Finance AnalystRequirements**:

- Studying towards professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA)
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of professional accounting principles and practices
- Experience with corporate financial, accounting, and administrative information system
- Fluency in European languages advantageous
- Analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively with, and within, a team
- Capacity to understand and implement internal controls and process improvement
- Demonstrated computer literacy
- Effective interpersonal skills with a variety of cultural and ethnic stakeholder groups
- Computer literacy skills inclusive of demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office suite
- Experience in the use of accounting specific software (Oracle, SAP, Sage, etc.)
- Proactive work habits
- The ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work, handle pressure of meeting monthly deadlines
- The ability to monitor and maintain management information systems and procedures
- The ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone with individuals and with a wide variety of organisations and audiences
