Planning Manager (Part 145 Aviation) - Biggin Hill - Permanent
Shorterm Group are currently working with a Business jet MRO who are seeking an experienced Planning Manager, for its new Service Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for continued development, implementation, and maintenance of the facility's planningprocess and related data processing. You will also ensure policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities are achieved with oversight by upper management.
Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain the facility's planning process and related data processing, including capacity/readiness planning process
- Ensure policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities are achieved with oversight by upper management
- Provide capacity planning/scheduling functions for the repair station, including staffing forecasts and hanger plans
- Coordinate department activities for the proper integration of their functions with data processing, planning, and production control activities
- Oversee production planning department and process used to provide work packages and work flows for each aircraft
- Provide guidance and monitoring of progress on major systems projects
- Oversee, develop and/or coordinate readiness plans for new customers as required by assigned site(s)
- Responsible for staff development and training
- Lead and direct a group of two or more employees for given projects or tasks
- Supervise efforts and provide technical guidance on complex issues
Qualifications:

- Several years of related experience in an aircraft maintenance organisation
- Minimum of 3 years' in progressive supervisory experience working in Aviation Services Industry
- Previous experience in senior strategic planning/project management role
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Aviation Management, Project Management (aeronautical / engineering course) or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of CAA and EASA Aviation Requirements including knowledge of Part-145 regulation, company policies, and standards
- Knowledge and ability to demonstrate an understanding of safety risks related to the safety environment and promote the Company's safety policy
- Thorough knowledge of planning and scheduling systems, aircraft maintenance programs, logistic processes, resource management, and production planning
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize, assign, and coordinate workload of assigned area and employees within a multiple project setting
- Interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, and key stakeholders
- Knowledge of Human Factors, human factors performance and limitations
- Project management training, an asset
