Leeds, United Kingdom Newmedica Full time

**Receptionist**

**Who are we?**

Newmedica are one of the leading providers of NHS ophthalmology services in England, providing
outpatients appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. We aim to change lives through
better sight and eye health.
We care for thousands of NHS and private patients a year in our specialist eye clinics across the
country. We have significant growth plans over the next few years as we look to establish a national
footprint and open many new sites across the UK.
We are thrilled to say that following an independently conducted survey of Newmedica colleagues
to tell us what it’s like to work here, we have been certified as a Great Place to Work for the second
year running. The feedback has directly contributed to Newmedica being listed among the UK’s top
50 Best Workplaces for 2025.

**Role overview**

We are looking for a new Receptionist to join our Leeds site. **This role will be 16 hours per week worked across Saturdays and Sundays, with possible overtime available during the week on an ad-hoc basis.**

Our Receptionists are usually the first person our patients will see when they visit a clinic so a
friendly, approachable and welcoming personality is a must

variety of technology solutions.
You’ll also undertake a variety of administrative duties such as booking patients into their
and sending letters and dealing with enquiries. As such you’ll require a high attention to detail and
excellent accuracy levels. Our clinics are busy so we’re looking for someone who loves working in a
fast-paced environment where every day is different.
The thought of eye surgery can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so our team
members need to be empathetic and able to put patients at ease.

advantageous:

- Experience of working under own initiative
- Previous experience in a customer or patient facing role
- Experience in a busy administrative role

various learning tools and courses.
- Working with a friendly multi-disciplinary team passionate about improving the lives of our
