**Role**:
We are looking for a Case Officer who will ensure a pro-compliance culture with Automatic Enrolment (AE), including Maintaining Contributions.

Working independently and as part of a team, you will be responsible for undertaking and delivering effective investigations and regulatory outcomes across a range of enforcement options. You will provide effective end to end management of a portfolio of selected cases in line with agreed policies and procedures.

This will involve setting case strategies, carrying out investigations, information gathering work with a wide range of stakeholders (employers, schemes, workers / members), resolving cases through education and engagement, using the regulator’s enforcement powers or escalating where appropriate, and making recommendations for case closure / disposal.

**Responsibilities**:
You will:

- provide professional, effective end to end case management to maximise compliance with AE and protect members’ benefits in line with agreed policies and procedures
- be able to undertake high volumes of work and use a risk-based approach to prioritise and escalate cases when necessary
- proactively liaise with scheme providers, savers and other interested parties to secure information in the correct manner, and personally analyse and present findings
- review and challenge documentation provided by stakeholders including payroll related products, reports, company structures, financial information
- identify risk in line with current policies, procedures and statutory guidelines, with prompt escalation of case related risks
- contribute to continuous improvement of processes and knowledge management
- have excellent systems and processes understanding with experience of working across different IT platforms and with the ability to cross reference data

**Essential and desirable criteria**:
**Essential**:

- Demonstrable experience within either an investigative, regulatory, or similar environment.
- Demonstrable experience of end-to-end case management gained through investigations, complaint handling or related activities.
- Ability to handle high volumes of work, managing around 35 cases at any time; able to prioritise when necessary and maintain attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience of working with sensitive material, following policies and guidance to ensure integrity and security, including an understanding of GDPR principles.
- Experience in dealing with internal and external customers / stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor approach to the audience and circumstances, on a case-by-case basis, whilst delivering a clear, consistent and authoritative message - particularly to unwilling, adverse and/or hostile individuals.
- Sufficient knowledge and technical ability to effectively use several IT related systems (case management system, reporting databases, customer relationship management and others).

**Desirable**:

- An awareness of AE and Pensions Act 2008.
- A nationally recognised qualification or accreditation as an investigator. Proven experience of successfully working in an investigatory (criminal or regulatory) environment with case management expertise.
