**What's the role?**
The Marketing Executive role will sit within the Group Marketing team and act as a key support by managing the majority of day-to-day responsibilities. This includes, but is not limited to, managing the Group comms calendar (internal and external activity), social media activity, Outlook inboxes, website updates, promotional merchandise orders, creative, and general admin responsibilities. Other members of the team hold specific skillsets such as copywriting and digital campaign management, so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take the next step from an entrant role and be surrounded by experienced peers they can learn from.
In addition to being highly organised, you will need to show resilience to working within a fast-paced environment and have an appetite to learn, as the role will be required to grow with the increasing demands put on the Marketing team by Group pipeline ambition.
Proven copywriting experience is key as we aim to develop this role at SMS, with a key area of high workload being content creation. You will likely start with internal comms and working towards industry specific content such as blogs and sales collateral.
Entering a small team, you may be required to carry out wider responsibilities, as the role adapts to fit business needs.

Work Schedule - Hybrid working Monday to Friday.
**Key responsibilities**:

- Carry out a mix of responsibilities simultaneously
- Work closely with peers in the Marketing team, supporting them to meet their objectives
- Own deadlines and ensure work is brought together to achieve them
- Update and manage the Group Communications calendar which includes internal and external comms.
- Work with project teams to support product/ service launches and promotion
- Work with external agencies to coordinate integrated activity
- Support the production of marketing materials and promotional merchandise (working with onboarded agencies)
- Manage Outlook inboxes
- Admin requirements e.g. purchase order management
- Copywriting as required

**To be considered for this role, we would love you to have**:

- Preferably someone with experience in working for a business with mixed services as this role will require a strategic rationale when balancing specific industry messaging Vs Group plc position
- Experience of agency creative briefing for a variety of medias, including but not limited to; collateral, website, videos, social media
- Experience of using various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn)
- Technical background desirable, to gain a good grasp of our carbon reduction works
- Excellent written/spoken communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes; particularly PowerPoint and Excel
