Welcome & Service Assistant

Working within a bustling atmosphere as part of passionate team, you'll play a core part in providing fantastic customer service. You will work across two properties in the North Warwickshire Portfolio, Baddesley Clinton and Packwood House.

**This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.**

**Due to the location of our property, there is no public transport access and therefore we would encourage you to consider how you would commute here prior to applying.**

What it's like to work here:You will work within a team of eight Welcome & Service Assistants and report to the Welcome & Service Assistant Manager and Welcome Manager. You will also work closely with our Welcome Volunteers.

Packwood House

This captivating 16th century Tudor manor house is renowned for its fine collection of têxtiles and elegant gardens. The team is focused on conservation projects, as well as providing an exceptional family-friendly visitor experience. The new café serves a delicious selection of produce grown in Packwood’s kitchen garden. Packwood House is part of a trio of properties alongside Baddesley Clinton and Coughton Court, so collaborative working between staff and volunteers is encouraged.

Baddesley Clinton

Baddesley Clinton is a moated manor house within a rambling Warwickshire estate. The property offers an imaginative visitor experience, with trails, activities and outdoor games throughout the year. The busy barn restaurant serves a variety of dishes, with many ingredients grown in the property’s vegetable garden. Baddesley Clinton is part of a trio of properties alongside Packwood House and Coughton Court, so collaborative working between staff and volunteers is encouraged.

What you'll be doing:As the largest conservation charity in Europe we work hard to raise funds, so that we can continue to care for all the heritage in our trust. Visitors are a vital part of what we do, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring that you provide an excellent service to all our visitors, every day. As a Welcome & Service Assistant, it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day, and ensuring their farewell is just as good.

You’ll be responsible for answering queries, handling complaints and making sure visitors can find everything they need for their visit. Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. Working with our spirit of place you’ll work with the visitor welcome team to link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.

You’ll deliver high standards of presentation at the property, and ensure all our communications with our visitors are clear and consistent, from the first click on the website, to the posters and signs around the property.
