Based at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven, we are seeking a motivated Appointments Supervisor to join our friendly, supportive and hardworking team in the Maternity Department
The post will be based at West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven but the post holder (as with all of our posts) may be required to work at other sites within the Trust.
The post holder will be expected to be flexible and open to changes, to identify opportunities for improvement and to play an active role in developing, implementing and sustaining improvements to working practices and patient services.
The purpose of the Booking Clerk is to provide administrative support within the busy Maternity Department. You will work as a member of the team that provides clerical support within the maternity department, undertaking a range of duties to ensure an accurate and efficient waiting list and booking service is available to the department.
Act as the first point of contact for the department and co-ordinate all patient appointments and enquires.
You will be a positive, versatile and helpful team-worker, literate and methodical, with excellent communication skills, able to relate well to people and put them at ease. You must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
Flexibility with regard to days and hours, plus experience in an office environment are essential - this post may include weekend and evening work based on service need.
