Part Time Financial Controller and Systems Expert

**We are looking for a commercially experienced and technology driven Financial Controller to help us in OUR business... to**
**a) be our Financial Controller -**working with the part time finance manager and management accountant, making sure our money is well managed, our systems and processes are optimised, giving us (the two Directors) the intelligence and metricswe need to be most successful and taking responsibility for our forecasting and budgeting.
**b) to lead the technical development of the YRH Best Practice, which our team adopt when they work with our clients.**This is about helping us stay at the front of our market, assessing the technology and the apps that are out there and helping our team understand and use this emerging tech so we can work smarter with clients and provide more value to them.

YRH Finance Team helps SME businesses professionalise their finance function, partly through implementing our proven best practice and partly by providing the finance people they need to run their finance function. We launched in 2007 and we are probablythe market leader in our service. Our growth has escalated in the last 3 three years as we've expanded across the UK - we're already 69% up on the same period last year. We are part of a wider family of companies providing part-time professionals in finance,HR, IT and marketing, across the UK and in 17 other countries around the world.
Our purpose is to help SME business owners be more successful and feel happier, and we do this by professionalising their accounting function; enabling them to access, and implement, accounting best practice and work with the best finance people - streamliningtheir accounting process and preparing and explaining financial information that positively impacts profit and cashflow.
**Location**:
- Mostly working from home
- Up to one day a week working from the office (based in Farnborough and surrounds)
- **Hours & Rate**:
- between 6 and 8 days a month, potential for the role to grow as the business grows
- 9am to 5:30pm.
- £30 per hour
**Key Responsibilities**:
Financial Control:
- Provision of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual financial and management reporting
- Managing the day to day financial work, finance team and accounts platform (Xero)
- Developing our suite of kpi’s and automating the reporting
- Sales and marketing analytics, financial modelling, forecasts and budget management
- Helping us connect our accounting and CRM (and other) systems for better insights
Product Development:
- Codifying the YRH Client Delivery Best Practice
- Keeping up to date with systems and technology platforms in our market, developing relationships with the platform providers, assessing how we could use them to provide better services to clients and building them into our own client delivery.
- Creating and delivering internal training on technology platforms and apps (mostly Xero, Sage and QB related apps)
- Working with the marketing team to develop material for the internal newsletter and for prospect marketing (ideas not finished content).
- You are a qualified Financial Controller, with 5+ years commercial experience and have previously managed a finance team
- You are passionate about the latest technology - curious and analytical - but also able to see the big picture
- You have experience creating and presenting training to a variety of stakeholders, in person and online
- You are proficient in cashflow, forecasting, budgeting, KPI management, system & process improvements and implementations, balance sheet/control account reconciliations and are able to produce a full set of management accounts and present and explain themat board level
- You are a Xero expert and preferably also have experience with Sage 50 and QuickBooks
- You are a proficient Excel user (specifically in: pivot tables, modelling, sumif and vlookup formulas), Power BI and Power Excel an advantage
- You can work quickly AND accurately, as well as being highly organised and driven to achieve results

- You have at least 6 days a month available to work with us and can easily travel to Farnborough when required
- You have excellent written and oral English language skills and can communicate confidently, clearly and effectively, with all stakeholders - including directors
- You are confident, resourceful, take pride in your contribution, able to work to deadlines, well organised, calm and energetic
- Happy to work on your own and take responsibility for projects and to work as part of a team.
