**Customer Service Executive - Role Responsibilities**

**About**

Waste Experts are a nationwide environmental services provider, specialising in waste management, electrical waste recycling, IT & asset disposal, compliance services and environmental consultancy. We operate our own recycling facility in Huddersfield and a national customer support centre in Durham. **Job Brief**

**Role Responsibilities**
- Operate as the first point of contact for all inbound sales calls, answering customer queries or directing calls to the appropriate person/department where necessary
- Confidently answer customer enquiries about our products, services and the company itself
- Demonstrate an understanding of current/emerging legislation and the waste industry to understand how this can influence business strategy
- Use product knowledge to showcase the solutions that our company can offer and upsell when the opportunity arises
- Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
- Taking ownership of customers issues and following problems through to resolution, thus overcoming potential roadblocks in the sales cycle
- Investigate and gather background correspondence to support invoice queries, working with the Sales team/Office Manager on any special pricing or agreements
- Send customer invoices/statements electronically via our internal system
- Raise customer sales orders and supplier purchase orders on our internal system, ensuring all data entered is accurate
- Contract/customer maintenance e.g. updating customer details, contacts, addresses, ensuring all details are up to date and correct
- Provide support to Head of Commercial and Sales Office Manager on invoicing and commercial pricing reviews
- Booking on new rental contracts and managing ongoing maintenance of these ensuring correct orders numbers and pricing are used
- Set up customer price matrixes on our internal system and updating any price increases
- Offering ongoing sales support for internal Sales Team and Business Development Managers e.g. general admin, customer queries, holiday cover
- Daily updating of CRM to maintain accurate customer information, service notes and customer correspondence

**Role Requirements**
- Previous experience in the waste or recycling industry would be extremely beneficial but not compulsory
- Proven success in Internal Sales roles
- Computer literate with solid experience of CRM software and MS Office
- Proven ability to juggle multiple customer enquiries, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Educated to a minimum of GCSE Level C / Grade 4 or equivalent
