The WELL-bean Café is a new pilot Crisis service for all residents within Newry experiencing emotional distress. The operational hours of The WELL-Bean (Crisis) Café service are currently 14 hrs on a Friday & Monday evening, 16 hrs Saturday & Sunday evenings, and 15hrs flexible midweek, inclusive of every weekend including bank holidays that fall on any of these days, however primarily this post will operate on a rotating basis
**e.g., Each counselling team will only work one Sat & Sun every three weeks, one Mon & Fri evening every three weeks and they will work two mid-weekdays every three weeks and then start the rotation again.**
Team 1 - WEEK 1, Fridays & Mondays (4:30pm - 11:30pm)
Team 2 - WEEK 1, Saturday & Sundays (11:30am - 7:30pm)
Team 3 - WEEK 1, Midweek (Flexible - 15 Hours)
The successful applicant will coproduce support plans with clients and offer 121’s, counselling, peer support groups and workshops as well as a social place to be.
The Counselling Coordinator will be a highly organised and experienced in mental health service delivery. You will be experienced in all service delivery administration including producing, monitoring and evaluation reports.
PIPS Hope & Support is a vibrant local suicide prevention and mental health charity that has been supporting and providing services for adults affected by mental health problems and their carers for over 18 years.
Funding has been secured from the Southern Health & Social Care Trust and the Mental Health Support Fund NI to provide evening and weekend out-of-hours crisis drop-in and counselling services in the Newry area
The WELL-bean Café will provide out-of-hours support to those suffering from mental health problems, aiming to prevent escalation, reduce isolation, increase independence and self-management and improve mental health and wellbeing.
This is an exciting role for someone to develop and help shape a new service to achieve the above aims. We are looking for a qualified counsellor to join the current coordinators team to lead on this service. Successful applicant will be highly motivated with knowledge and experience of supporting vulnerable adults and using the CORE model recovery approach in service provision.
The successful applicant will also motivate and support a team of volunteers to deliver effective person-centred support for our clients. we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated and must be able to work on your own initiative.

Part-time hours: 15 per week
**Salary**: Up to £35,000.00 per year
