Contract Finance Officer

We are looking to appoint a talented individual into our Contracts Team in the role of **Contract Finance Officer**. The purpose of the role includes processing complex data sets in preparation of funder claims, ensuring accurate and timely recovery of project costs with a high degree of compliance to funder regulations and contractualrequirements. Maintaining and assisting in the development of efficient systems and processes to manage the claim and routine finance processes. To support the Contracts Team, service delivery teams, and the Business Unit as a whole, by providing accurateand timely data, performance reporting, financial software and process training and other accounting services.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Processing complex monthly/quarterly finance data management routines to identify transactions for funder claims.
- Reconciliation and oversight of the company salary recharge and recharge control account.
- Preparation and verification of funder claims ensuring contractual compliance. This includes ensuring robust and transparent document evidence trails to fulfil the requirements of funder audits.
- Lead on the creation, verification, and processing of monthly journal transactions, managing intercompany recharges, working with Central Finance to verify income & expenditure, and undertaking financial reconciliations.
- Support the process of developing and managing data and management tools across the spectrum of business support projects.
- Provide relevant financial information for reporting and communication to the Group, its partners, funders, and subcontractors.
- When required, supporting the financial administration processes through raising of purchase & sales orders, reviewing purchase invoice queries, and managing project-related financial queries.

**Skills, Knowledge and Experience**:

- Qualified AAT / part qualified CIMA/ACCA or demonstrable equivalent business experience and knowledge
- Highly numerate, with Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, a working knowledge of VBA would be desirable.
- Accounting experience, including preparing Management Accounts to 'trialbalance’ stage
- Experience of manipulating complex data with multi-layered relationships.
- Comfortable articulating complex data relationships to a range of stakeholders at all levels.
- Regulatory compliance and financial audits - desirable, but not essential.
- A strong communicator and a team player.
