Interim Finance Officer - Manchester / Hybrid - £210 per day (inside IR35)
Initial 3-month contract | 2 days per week in the office

An established public sector organisation is seeking an
Interim Finance Officer
to provide essential support to their finance function during a busy period. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional with strong purchase ledger and Microsoft Dynamics experience to join a collaborative and fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the
    Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable
    function, including processing invoices, raising purchase orders, and managing approvals and payments.
  • Manage the
    commissioning (spend request)
    process, maintaining the relevant log, updating progress, and liaising with Procurement and Legal as required.
  • Monitor shared
    finance inboxes
    , handling queries, invoice submissions, and approvals in a timely manner.
  • Carry out
    bank reconciliations
    , process cost transfers and journals in line with reporting timetables.
  • Prepare and process
    supplier payment runs
    , ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Maintain and verify
    supplier records
    in line with internal controls.
  • Raise and process
    invoices
    as required.
  • Support the wider Finance Team with
    ad hoc duties
    as needed.
