**Job description**:
We are looking for a Junior IT / Network Administrator with an interest in Network Support for a busy Service Desk team near Cardiff.

Our client supports financial services clients all over the world and have offices from Singapore to New York.

£22-24k & good benefits

Some of the things you will be doing:

- Responding to requests and issues via a Helpdesk ticketing system.
- Supporting users both on site and remotely.
- Maintaining network performance and security.
- Configuring equipment (Laptops, PC, Servers, Switches etc) for deployment to users or sites.
- Researching new solutions, hardware, software, ideas and approaches to improve the network and security.
- Documenting procedures and updating network layouts.

What we ideally are looking for:

- Someone with demonstrable interest in IT with a specific interest in progressing into a Network Support area.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to further your knowledge and learn new technologies and a strong interest in IT technology.
- An intuitive and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Flexibility in working hours.
- Full UK Driving License
- UK or EU Passport with no limits on working in the UK or travelling to locations around the world.

Very nice to have skills would include any previous experience in (or an interest in):

- Cisco Switches & Firewalls
- VMWare Virtualization
- Microsoft Windows 10 & Server 2016+
- Microsoft Windows Active Directory
- Microsoft Office 365
- Networking Services (DHCP, DNS etc)
- Relevant certifications or Qualifications
