**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- **Monitor and Patrol**: Regularly monitor and patrol designated areas to detect signs of intrusion, suspicious activity, or breaches in security.
- **Surveillance Operation**: Operate and maintain surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure continuous, effective monitoring.
- **Incident Response**: Respond promptly to alarms and security incidents, performing thorough investigations and escalating issues as needed.
- **Loss Prevention**: Implement strategies to minimize theft, vandalism, and other damage, protecting assets and maintaining order.
- **First Aid Assistance**: Provide certified first aid assistance as necessary, prioritizing the safety and well-being of all on-site individuals.
- **Reporting**: Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company protocol.
- **Collaboration with Authorities**: Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed to manage critical situations.
- **Customer Service**: Maintain a strong, visible presence that deters security threats while providing a professional and friendly experience for visitors.

**Qualifications**
- **SIA Certification**: Possession of a valid Security Industry Authority (SIA) license is required, with compliance to all regulatory standards.
- **Experience**: Proven experience in a security role or similar position is preferred.
- **Surveillance Knowledge**: Strong understanding of surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies, with experience in CCTV operation.
- **First Aid**: Certification in First Aid is highly desirable, with the ability to provide on-the-spot assistance when required.
- **Observational Skills**: Excellent attention to detail, maintaining calmness and composure under pressure.
- **Communication Skills**: Proficient in verbal and written communication for clear reporting and effective interaction with the public.
- **Teamwork and Independence**: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a security team.
- **Shift Flexibility**: Willingness to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by the role.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £12.95-£13.58 per hour

Additional pay:
