**HR Specialist - Army Reserve (Part-Time)**
- 53 (Wales & Western) Signal Squadron, is a Part-time Army Reserve Unit.
- We welcome male and female applicants, aged 18-42 years and 6 months, from all backgrounds.
- Previous experience is not required, you will be taught everything you need to know.

**Entry requirements**
- **Age**:From 17 years & 9 months to 42 years & 6 months
- **Qualifications**: Minimum GCSE grade D/3 in English Language and Maths (or equivalent). We'll also consider vocational qualifications such as an NVQ in Business Administration.
- **Basic Physical Fitness Assessment**:

- Mid Thigh Pull 50kg
- Medicine Ball Throw 2.7m
- MSFT (beep test) level 5.8

**Training for the role**

**Step 1**
Complete your basic training and learn to be a soldier. This happens remotely, physically over several weekends, with a two-week residential course at the end.

**Step 2**
Take the Service Initial Personnel Administration course. When you finish, you’ll be a MPA. You’ll spend at least 27 days per year with us - usually one evening a week, one weekend a month and a two-week annual camp.

**Qualifications you could get after training**
- Level 2 Certificate for Military Personnel Administrators.
- Level 3 Diploma for Military Personnel Administrators.
- Training is accredited by the Defence Awarding Organisation, Institute of Leadership and Management and Chartered Management Institute, ranging from Levels 4 to 7.

**Pay & benefits**

You'll get paid a day rate according to your rank, starting from £42.29 in training and rising to £53.79 per day once you're a Private. This includes being paid for weekly drill nights. Plus, if you complete all of your annual training days, you're entitled to a tax-free lump sum called a bounty.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Minimum commitment of 27 days per year - maximum of 207 days a year (to include a 15 day continuous training event)
- Tuesday evenings 1930 hrs - 2130 hrs and some weekends (1 - 2 options per month)
