We are recruiting for a Senior EHS Officer (Chemical Plant) in our EHS Department at Piramal Pharma Solutions In Morpeth.

The role holder will provide day to day EHS support for the API Production department with responsibility for driving improvements locally through full engagement and implementation of local EHS committees. They will support the site cultural change program for EHS within their business unit area and work closely with UK EHS SMEs to ensure local EHS procedures are aligned to Global CEHS and UK guidance.

**Key Roles/Responsibilities**:
Support the departmental business function with advice and support working closely with the operational team in a specific department.

Conducting ongoing reviews of operations and processes to identify possible hazards, risks, and control measures.

Closure and verification of corrective actions.

Develop and Deliver toolbox talks.

Develop and deliver site level training.

Tracking and reporting on EHS metrics.

Drive improvements locally through full engagement and implementation of local EHS committees.

Maintaining an overview of the overall risk assessment framework (General workplace, Manual handling, COSHH, DSEAR, fire risk assessments, etc.) and helping / coaching operational departments to ensure risk assessments are suitable and sufficient.

Leading and participation in accident, incident, near-miss investigation, and monitoring CAPA status and closure and manage My Safe across allocated area.

Carrying out workplace inspections across allocated area and contribute to the operational excellence program with respect to EHS integration and behavioral based safety thereby supporting site cultural change program for EHS within business unit areas.

Auditing of risk management systems for compliance with current and emerging health and safety legislation.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Technical discipline, NEBOSH qualification or equivalent - NEBOSH Diplome preferred
- Member of IOSH
- Auditing experience
