**The Role**:
As Head of Art and Design, you will:

- Lead and manage the Art and Design department, driving excellence in teaching and learning.
- Develop and deliver a forward-thinking curriculum that inspires creativity and aligns with national standards.
- Foster a culture of high expectations and achievement among staff and students.
- Promote extracurricular opportunities, such as art clubs, exhibitions, and competitions, to enrich students' learning experiences.
- Manage departmental resources effectively, ensuring the highest quality teaching materials and facilities.
- Provide professional development and mentorship to staff within the department.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to embed creativity and design thinking across the school.

**About You**:
To succeed in this role, you will:

- Be an exceptional practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record of success in teaching Art and Design.
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with experience of managing or mentoring colleagues.
- Have a deep passion for art and design, with the ability to inspire and engage students across all key stages.
- Be skilled in curriculum design and have a clear vision for developing the department further.
- Be committed to promoting inclusion and equality in the classroom.
- Have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to balance strategic leadership with day-to-day management.
