Control Room Operator

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a Control Room Operator to join the Control and Performance Monitoring Team at Statera Energy Operations.

The post holder will be required to work a rostered shift pattern including day, evening, nightshift, weekends and public holidays.

**Background**

We are a market leading operations and maintenance provider for flexible generation and battery energy storage assets in the UK, with over 1.2GW of assets under contract across the UK.

The Control Room Operator is a key member of our Control and Performance Monitoring Team which is the nerve centre through which all asset data flows in real time. The insights generated by the team are disseminated across the company and provide the foundation for data-based decision-making. From a simple decision to dispatch an engineer to site to investigate a fault to deciding to proceed with a multi-million-pound site retrofit, the process starts with the Control and Performance Monitoring Team.

**Duties**
- Constantly monitor operational assets, using SCADA and CCTV monitoring systems alerting the Asset Management teams of any downtime or plant and equipment irregularities, and dispatching Field Service Engineers or Security Patrols in response to any issues.
- Ensure all site faults and events are prioritised, diagnosed, acted upon as quickly as possible, and CMMS are managed effectively.
- To record all events and actions in a clear and accurate written format.
- Initial diagnostic of site events, priorities and following steps to remedy operational problems, tracking equipment issues and defects throughout the entire lifetime of the assets, and maintaining the site within the CMMS.
- Analyse monitoring data to identify current and historic long-term issues, faults and any patterns that may indicate irregularities with the installed equipment, and report to the Portfolio Management and Field Service team.
- Interpret and analyse technical data resulting from monitoring and ticketing systems, managing KPI deliverables.
- Analyse and Report portfolio KPIs and, in collaboration with SEO Senior Management team, develop strategies to tackle issues.
- Delivery of weekly and monthly reports to meet customer requirements.
- Regular health monitoring of the plants through our Monitoring System, analysing system-generated alarms with the aim to identify technical issues and potential underperformance.
- Data analysis to investigate the root cause and quantify the impact on performance of identified issues
- Generation of regular reports on the performance of the sites which detail performance via the main KPIs and explain underperformance via known technical issues / underperformance events
- Support continuous improvement efforts via the development of new tools for streamlining our data analysis and reporting automation (i.e., scripts to automate manual calculations, improve data manipulation or automate reporting / dashboards)

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a control room environment or similar role is not essential.
- Proficiency in data entry and the ability to analyse operational data effectively
- Possesses an analytical mind, keen to identify and solve problems
- Good written and verbal communications skills
- Willingness to learn, with the ambition to progress within the business.
- Able to manage interaction with internal and external stakeholders
- Relentless attention to detail and drive to produce quality work

Pay: £25,281.00-£30,000.00 per year
