**Role Overview**:Female** **Support Worker 13-26hrs per week £12.85-£13.90
**About Me**:I am a middle aged woman, ex-teacher with Multiple Sclerosis and I live independently in my own flat in Brighton. I enjoy music, theatre, films and books. I like getting out and about when the weather is good. I am friendly, liberal and open minded, I like being active as well as needing time to myself to relax. I meet friends for coffee whenever I can, I write the occasional blog posts. I am a gentle activist around climate change, disability rights and am involved in a community of involuntarily childless women.
**The Support Required**:As a member of my caring team, you’ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks that can vary by the day, so an amount of flexibility is required. Some of the main duties include:
- Administration of medication and regular stock-taking
- General housework
- Cooking, our client is Vegan and prefers a gluten free diet
- Record Keeping
- Driving the client’s mobility vehicle and assisting with outings, booking appointments
- Full Training is provided
- General Admin
- Assisting with and engaging in tasks and activities related to my interests and social life.
- Supporting activities related to my health and well-being
I receive 13hrs of care per day with 2:1 support in the morning. The shifts are 13hrs per day and we are looking for 1-2 days per week, you must be available to work weekends on a rota system.
**About the Pay**:
Mon-Fri 08.30-21.30 £12.85
Sat-Sun 08.30-21.30 £13.90
(Pay rise pending)
**About the Training**:Moving and Handling with Hoist, Stoma and Catheter Care, Personal Care
Full client specific training will be given, including ongoing professional development and support
- An enhanced disclosure is required (expense to be met by employer).
- Post exempt under The Equality Act 2010 Schedule 9 Part 1-There is a genuine occupational requirement to recruit female support workers.
- Driver’s essential /full clean driving licence required
