Siemens Healthineers are looking for a **Buyer** to join their **Healthcare Diagnostics** business based at the well-established and modern facility in **Llanberis**, located next to Snowdonia National Park. The facility manufactures and distributes reagents for in-vitro diagnostic medical devices used in hospitals worldwide to aid the diagnosis of medical conditions.

This is a 12 month fixed term role.

This role can be based from home with occasional travel to our site.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organise and co-ordinate purchases of materials & services by using the systems available to ensure on-time delivery and target safety stock levels.
- Commodity Management Approach; work closely with key stakeholders to align and implement agreed Sourcing and Supplier Performance Management strategies to ensure long term cost efficient supply of goods and services for the IMMULITE supply chain. Utilise digitisation opportunities as a key part of the sourcing strategy approach.
- Orderbook Management: Resolve complex delivery, quality or other related problems with purchases & invoices.
- Negotiate prices and quality requirements with material suppliers and service providers within own area of spend.
- CNI Roadmap: Perform value analysis to identify potential cost improvements and develop cost saving proposals.
Liaise with appropriate departments in sourcing of new materials and services, on new projects or during research into alternative suppliers / materials and ensure risk mitigation strategies are considered.
- Identify opportunities for process and system development, to help the department to meet the changing needs of the organisation
- Support sourcing, supplier selection, evaluation and other supplier performance management activities in line with global and local policies and procedures.
- Customer Interface: Ensure a close co-operation with internal Customers at all levels developing and building a good working relationship based on collaboration and trust

**Skills & Experience**:

- Beneficial to have previous experience of procurement activities in a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ideally educated to A-Level and Degree level.
- CIPS Qualified preferred but not essential.
- Good negotiation skills
- Supplier Management experience
- Experience with MRP systems
