A global energy company based near Chester are looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team. As Senior Buyer you will be expected to support the development of category plans and be able to influence the development of value delivery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and plan supplier relationship and contract management to ensure suppliers meet their contractual obligations.
- Work with Business Partners and senior leaders to identify and drive savings and performance improvement.
- Delivery of the annual Procurement Value Plan through delivery of projects included in the category plan and support to business partner nominated projects to meet site needs.
- Support the development of medium to long term category plans (lower costs, mitigated risk, supply surety).
- Senior Buyers will collaborate with project specific stakeholders to ensure change management is efficient and effective to guarantee sustainable value delivery.

About you:

- 2-4 Years Tactical Buying experience within Engineering, Chemicals, Utilities, Oil or Manufacturing industry.
- Experience in sourcing, negotiation, and management of spend categories.
- A proven track record of working with senior stakeholders.
- Ideally CIPS qualified.

**Benefits**:

- Salary is circa £51,164 - £58,870.
- Early finish on a Friday.
- 25 Standard days off + bank holidays + additional days off required for Christmas shut down.
- Standard holidays increase 1 day for every 2 years of service up to max of 30 standard holidays.
