What will you do in the role of HR Assistant?
- Maintain the HR inbox and review, ensuring a timely response is provided
- Manage all aspects of HR administration including new starter and leaver process in accordance with the requirements of the business and in line with data protection and employment legislation, raising any issue with IT
- Administration of internal changes, eg, flexible working, change of hours, line management, salary reviews and probations etc.
- Prepare contracts, HR letters and other documentation
- Low risk ER case management
- Deliver HR induction and assist in the on-boarding process as required
- Overseeing HR events and meetings and coordinating management-employee communications
- Maintain a good awareness of Employment Law and keep up to date with changes by watching webinars, attending employment law updates, seminars, and subscribing to HR publications.
- Minute taking for meetings as required
- Assisting on capability and disciplinary processes as required
- Assist in maintaining the HR system and databases, ensuring they are kept up to date, accurate and comply with relevant legislation.
- Produce internal reports
- Supporting the monthly payroll process
- Maintain and execute periodic tasks logged in the HR Calendar
- Supporting with the monthly payroll.
- Supporting with wider team projects.
What skills do you need to be a HR Assistant?
- A true passion to progress your career in HR
- Previous experience within a HR admin or HR Assistant role
- Degree educated in a relevant HR or business degree
- CIPD level 5 or working towards
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to work at a fast pace.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A confidential and professional approach is essential and can demonstrate integrity and respect
- To be able to work independently with excellent planning and organisational skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible
- An organised and pro-active approach
- Ability to work in a busy environment
- Confident at communication with people at all levels.
- Customer focus orientated
What will you LOVE about being a HR Administrator?
- GBP25,000 - GBP27,000 dependant on experience
- Working hours Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day flexible start time from 8am - 10am
Hybrid 1 day a week work from home
