Data Analytics Apprentice

As a Data Science, Analytics Apprenticeat Expedia Group, their big data platform will be your playground. You will make an impact on reimagining travel by developing insightful reports on traveler trends which drive operational improvements in a way that serves their goal to bring the world withinreach. Data is at the centre of everything we do and allows us to personalise the experience of their customers with near real-time decision-making. The apprenticeship programme runs over 15-18 months, where you’ll be following a program designed by Multiversedata experts, participating in on-the-job learning in one of our analytics teams, with full support and coaching.
**A typical day**
- Learn on the job to directly and work on a variety of analytical projects, examples are;
- Running live onsite test experiments to improve the onsite experience
- Working on Marketing projects and using A/B testing or statistical forecasting methods to understand the impact of marketing campaigns
- Diving into the data to better understand how our customers navigate the site, book and repeat
- Optimise, and grow, our demand and supply partners relationships through recommendations founded in analysis
- You will experience the end-to-end process from the planning to analysis, making recommendations and following up on action
- You’ll gain a good understanding of our domain (ie. travel, e-commerce) and business goals and become a data specialist and the point of contact for data questions and insights
- Develop experience with various methods of analysis using sql, python and R in addition to web analytics tools (eg. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics etc)
- Partner with various teams eg. Marketing, Product, Finance, Supply, Data Engineering etc to present recommendations and implement sustainable analytics solutions to drive business strategy and performance
**You must have**
- GCSE English & Maths 4-9 (C-A*) or equivalent
- Level 3 qualification (A level, BTEC or equivalent)

- Must be highly numerate/mathematical
- Must be enthusiastic and keen to learn
- Helpful to have good analytics skills and be self-motivated
- Helpful to have effective written and verbal communication skills
- Helpful to have experience of SQL and Python
- Helpful to have strong problem-solving and research skills, you enjoy learning new concepts quickly to find practical solutions, with a curious mindset always asking 'why’
