**Reports To**:Warehouse Manager

**Shift Pattern**: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. (infrequent additional hours may be required)

**Hours**: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm with half an hour for lunch.

**Rate of Pay: £13.25**

**Job Purpose**:
To assist the Warehouse Manager with the day to day running of all the Warehouse Operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **DELIVERIES -** To regularly unload vehicles and containers with weight up to 25kg in a safe way.
- Ensure Deliveries are processed according to company procedures and identify any discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- To check deliveries against purchase orders and record on the IT system.
- **DISPATCHES -** Pick and pack for vehicle dispatch and Click & Collect orders.
- Ensuring orders are sent according to address on the correct vehicle.
- Assisting the external transport team to load the correct orders onto their vehicles.
- Marking items as dispatched on the IT system.
- **RETURNS -**Updating stock returns to the IT system.
- Ensure returned stock is processed according to management instruction.
- **STOCK CONTROL -** assisting with regular stock counts as requested.
- Report stock discrepancies to line Manager.
- **HOUSEKEEPING -** ensure the warehouse and yard are kept clean and clear of rubbish, empty packaging and pallets.

**PPE**
- Your staff PPE is provided free of charge and must be worn at all times.

**Health & Safety**
- Ensuring safe work practices and departmental risk assessments are fully adhered to.
- Reporting any accidents to your manager
- **Training -** completing Company training for health & safety compliance.

**Security**
- Being alert and vigilant at all times
- Ensure all stock is appropriately stored and correct procedures are followed.

**Ad-hoc**
- To carry out other duties as directed by your Manager.

**Skills/Experience**:
**Key Qualifications**:
**Warehouse experience** is not essential but **must have**:

- **The** **stamina** and **strength** to **unload vehicles** and **containers** **on a** **daily basis.** (Minimum of 4 hours and maximum of 8 hours)
- **Positive approach** and **strong work ethic**
- **Excellent time** and **attendance record.**
- **Eager to learn** with a ‘can do attitude’
- **Flexible**and willing to work overtime during busy periods
- Basic computer literacy.
- As the role involves using trucks, all applicants must be at least 18 years old. Full training will be provided.
