Summary

We are looking for someone who:

- will actively support and enhance the strong Christian tradition and ethos of our ‘Excellent’ church school;
- has high expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour and an understanding of how all children learn best;
- is highly motivated and is dedicated to developing their skills further;
- has had experience working with children in all phases of primary education;
- has had experience of supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities;
- is able to plan and deliver intervention programmes tailored to the needs of the pupils;
- can contribute to the wider life of the school.

Essential Qualifications
- NVQ level 2 in relevant childcare qualification
GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Mathematics

Desirable Qualifications
- Additional CPD or training related to children with additional needs
- Additional CPD or training related to children's emotional health and wellbeing
Additional CPD or training related to interventions with individuals or small groups

Essential Experience
- Experience of working in a Primary School Classroom
Experience of working in a relevant classroom environment including EYFS/KS1

Desirable Experience
- Experience of meeting the needs of children with special educational needs and speech, language and communication issues
- Experience of supporting children with their social and emotional needs
Experience of supporting pupils with challenging behaviours
