**Housekeeper - Danygraig Care Home**

**Location**: Porthcawl, Bridgend
**Pay**: £12.21 per hour
**Hours**: 20 per week (3 shifts per week, 08:00-15:00 on a 3-week rolling rota, including 1 in 3 weekends)
**Contract**: Permanent, Part-Time

We’re looking for a reliable and caring Housekeeper to join our friendly team at Danygraig Care Home. Your eye for detail and pride in your work will help create a homely, safe, and dignified environment for our residents.

**About Danygraig**

Danygraig Care Home is a 48-bed residential home in Porthcawl, supporting adults living with mental health conditions, including dementia. Spread across four units (three for women and one for men), we also provide respite care. With our open-door ethos and welcoming atmosphere, Danygraig is a place where residents, families, and staff feel included and valued.

**Your Role**

As part of our domestic team, you’ll balance both laundry and housekeeping duties to keep the home running smoothly. From ensuring fresh clothes and bedding to keeping rooms and communal spaces clean, your work makes a direct difference to residents’ quality of life.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Washing, drying, ironing, and returning residents’ clothing and bedding
- Neatly ironing and storing staff uniforms
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard
- Maintaining stock levels in laundry cupboards across units
- Following infection control, health & safety, and COSHH guidelines
- Respecting residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal space
- Supporting colleagues in the wider domestic team when needed

**What We’re Looking For**
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Flexible, reliable, and happy to work weekends/bank holidays on a rota
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Caring, respectful approach when working in a care environment
- Previous experience in domestic or laundry work helpful, but not essential - training provided
