Danygraig care agency is based in Danygraig House care home, Porthcawl, the agency supports vulnerable adults living at home and covers the areas of Bridgend and Porthcawl.

Danygraig domiciliary care agency is looking to recruit a dynamic, enthusiastic care coordinator/ supervisor. You will be predominantly responsible for coaching and mentoring a team of care staff, carrying out staff inductions, staff training and staff supervision, ensuring the agency continues to run effectively, efficiently and safely in line with company policy and procedures, regulations and contractual agreements and setting weekly client schedules.

You will work full time as part of 4 weekly shift pattern with the management team, shifts will be 6.30am to 2.30pm, 9am to 4pm or 2pm to 9.30pm and Including opening up and managing the office over a weekend on a three weekly rota basis.

If successful you will work closely with the Registered Manager, Deputy manager and senior staff to ensure day to day management and all areas of compliance of the agency are upheld to high standards, this will include management tasks such as:
- The team has access to a company pool car to carry out your duties if you do not have access to a car
- Client reviews and to work in partnership with clients, their family, carers, advocates, healthcare professionals and others to ensure the seamless delivery of individual care support
- Shadow new care workers in the field to ensure their competence
- Carry out observation and competencies of care worker practice as part of routine supervision, or in response to particular performance concerns, or as otherwise directed
- Provide support and instruction to care workers in the field, including in an emergency.
- Staff supervisions
- Spot checks
- Promoting a quality led service
- Ensuring all safety checks are carried out
- Responsible for maintaining digital records and MAR charts
- Dealing with and managing any concerns or complaints
- Lead and manage a team of care staff to ensure they are supported in their roles.
- Participate in Emergency on-call duties as required
- Providing emergency cover for client support visits in the event of sickness and absence.
- Act as a link between the client, staff and the office
- Set client weekly care schedules

Essential skills
- Experience of working as a senior member of staff in a care setting
- At least QCF 2 or 3 in health and social care
- Understanding of domiciliary services and managing the call monitoring system
- Car owner driver
- Skilled and experienced in managing a staff team
- Experienced in working with vulnerable people and their families
- Understanding of RISCA
- Excellent communication skill
