A choice hotel for short weekend and shopping breaks in Edinburgh, Piries is close to Edinburgh Airport and offers all the comforts of a pleasurable and cost-effective hotel. Wrapped up in a traditional Scottish atmosphere, the hotel offers 32 en-suite bedrooms and a fully licensed bar. All rooms offer modern facilities including en-suite bathrooms and free WiFi.

The hotel is well connected to the rest of the city with Haymarket Station just a two-minute walk away. Guests have easy access to Edinburgh Old Town, Princes Street shopping, Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish National Gallery.

Our hotel is currently operating under a government contract. We are searching for Resident Service Assistants who are compassionate, caring individuals to help support our operation and look after our long-term residents. Your responsibilities will include, overseeing the reception area, some administration tasks, serving of meals and general cleaning duties. Most importantly you will be interacting and providing a great environment for our long term guests.

Please note: this is a full time role - 40 hours per week, consisting of 8 hour shifts (early and late shift). The early shift will be from 7:00am to 3:00pm, and the late shift will be from 2:30pm to 10:30pm. The role includes work on weekends and bank holidays.

**Role in our Family**:
Within Guest Service Assistant, key to your role:
To operate the hotel reception (24hr) to the agreed hotel standards
- Ensuring the set up of the restaurant and bar for mealtimes
- Maintaining of buffets and clearing/sanitising of tables in restaurant area
- To maintain the reception, food and beverage outlets, public areas, stores, back office and staff areas in a clean and tidy condition.
- Deal with any resident queries/complaints in a polite and friendly manner ensuring resident satisfaction
- All complaints, comments, special requests and other business to be recorded in the daily handover log.
- To clearly communicate with other departments to ensure mínimal impact on guest service.
