We are recruiting 2 Life Skills Support Workers, to work directly with young people who have been out of education or training for a variety of very different reasons or learners who may need support in engaging in alternative curriculum pathways. You will support learners with college work and encourage them to take a positive part in activities, both in and out of the classroom, offering pastoral support when they need it.
Under the guidance of the person leading the learning, undertake scheduled curriculum and/or care support duties that enable learners to access their learning through improving their study skills, developing strategies to overcome their difficulties and fostering independence and self-determination. You will also offer pastoral support and guidance as necessary to groups or individual learners and support the Trainer/Facilitator with behaviour management both in and outside the classroom. You will be expected to mark and assess learner’s portfolios and be required to attend Welcome, Enrolment and Induction days and support any evening classes.
Our staff are integral to maintaining our passion and high-performance levels, and we reward our staff for this. Our benefits are designed to encourage a healthy work-life balance, and include:
- 25 days annual leave (pro-rata of fractional) including the option to purchase additional holiday days;
- Christmas Closure of up to 2 weeks in addition to annual leave entitlement;
- Access to a wealth of training, apprenticeships and funded higher education opportunities as well as dedicated training days;

- Hybrid and flexible working patterns;
- Subsidised fitness suite facility, onsite hair and beauty salon, access to a wide range of catering facilities, outdoor gym and free eyesight tests;
- Major supermarket and high street employee discount schemes;
- Life Assurance (if member of pension scheme);
- On Site Nursery (Mama Bears);
- Employee Assistance Programmes;
- Discounted travel schemes.
