**About The Role**
We are currently recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant working in our busy Ophthalmology Team at our Practice Plus Group Hospital, Shepton Mallet. You’ll provide support to the nursing staff, ensuring that a safe and effective service is provided to all usersacross the department. This will involve liaising with the recovery, theatre, ward and radiology teams when required. Above all, you have a natural ability to help make the lives of others more fulfilling and want to work in an environment where the work canbe hard, but also fun and rewarding.
With recent experience working as a Health Care Assistant it would be advantageous if you have worked in acute healthcare and have prior experience in ophthalmic. More important though is your flexibility, your knowledge of infection control, belief in teamworkand your ability to use your initiative, follow instructions and prioritise a busy workload.
You may have mínimal, experience, but are keen to explore a career in care, or you may already have invaluable experience. Whichever it is you will share the right values. You're adaptable, friendly, polite and caring and enjoy working as a team with peoplefrom different cultures and backgrounds. You will also consider it a privilege to be trusted to look after others.
