**Horton Housing is a not-for-profit Housing Association that manages a wide range of different housing, training and support services across Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees and North Yorkshire. We offer support to a variety of people, including those who are homeless or at risk, young people and refugees. We offer accommodation, skills and language support, and use a strength based approach to help the people we support achieve their goals in a manner which works for them.**

We are currently recruiting for a Night Project Worker to join the Bradford Homeless Partnership. This role is 35 hours per week, worked 5 nights on, 5 nights off.

**The role**

The Emergency Duty Team (EDT) is responsible for providing safe and secure accommodation outside normal working hours. EDT provide an effective service in receiving emergency telephone referrals and placing clients in temporary accommodation. EDT will carry out security and domestic duties within a hostel setting.

**What we are looking for**
- Experience of working with vulnerable people and their associated needs in a paid or voluntary role. E.g. DV, ASB, drug/alcohol use and mental health issues.
- An knowledge and understanding of issues faced by people with multiple and complex needs
- Excellent communication and ICT skills.
- Excellent time management and record keeping.
- Able to remain calm and work effectively under pressure in isolated situations.
- Ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative when necessary
- Ability to carry out tasks to maintain the health and safety of a building (i.e. fire alarm tests, property checks, reporting repairs etc.)
- Ability to carry out domestic duties e.g. cleaning, changing bedding, clearing out sharps, restocking and preparing properties for re-let.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
- Commitment to Equality & Diversity.
- A willingness to undertake training required.
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle which can be insured for business use.

**What Horton offers in return?**
