St Helens, United Kingdom St. Helens Council Full time

**Job Description**:
We Are St Helens Borough Council.

Located in the heart of the Northwest close to Liverpool, Manchester and Lancashire, St Helens is a transformational Council which is passionate and ambitious for the communities we support.

We provide a wide range of local authority services to the residents, businesses, schools, and visitors to the borough. We can only do this because of our highly valued, highly skilled workforce.

Working together, our workplace vision and values guide our organisation, and the contribution of our workforce is key to our culture journey.

Employees with us receive a wide range of benefits including well-being in work, financial benefits, ways of working and learning and development support.

Making A Difference as A Home Energy Officer in the Communities Department

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed professional to deliver affordable warmth and health related projects direct to the heart of St Helens Communities. You will ideally have experience of working in a customer-focused environment and will provide advice and assistance to vulnerable householders across all tenures in relation to energy efficiency and fuel poverty issues.

You will work closely and build up strong relationships with a range of internal and external agencies to ensure St Helens residents benefit from timely and effective advice and interventions.

Applicants will preferably have a working background and knowledge of housing and affordable warmth issues. However, training will be provided to the individual with commitment and ambition to develop their knowledge in relation to this exciting and constantly changing agenda.

This role allows for hybrid working, combining working from home with access to an agile work hub and the undertaking of site visits and inspections of properties across the borough.
