one Full time vacancy currently, and may consider two part time however this would include working a long day on a Saturday

Of course the main responsibility of our Kitchen Porters are to ensure all kitchen areas are kept in line with food hygiene regulations and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all crockery and equipment used.

Glenmore House is a banqueting venue, trading since 1921, catering for everything from christenings to wakes, weddings, dinner dances, and also is a Private Members Club. No two days are the same.

So too it is with being a Kitchen Porter at Glenmore House. The role doesn't mean that you are stuck in groundhog day for hours at the kitchen sinks, though of course loading and unloading the dishwashers is a key ingredient to any day. However there is variety, you could be assisting the Chefs, you could be doing a raft of different tasks in amongst to your core role to ensure we have clean crockery available to keep the business going.

Any role as a Kitchen Porter is not for the faint-hearted, its a tough essential job at times relentless and needs someone who is able to work systematically, fast and hard. Our hourly rate recognises the importance of the role in servicing our events, and the hard work the role can be. Though we have busy days and quiet days, we need people who will find things to do when its quieter as much as be able to cope on the busy ones

We have a permanent full time vacancy available immediately as the current post holder has left after five years with us, and a second post holder has decided to retire after twelve years with us.

Glenmore House is located in Surbiton Surrey. We have no live in facilities available, but are two minutes walk from Surbiton Train Station (16mins from London Waterloo) we have our own free carparking available, or are easily accessible by bus.

The hours of working vary (min 40hours+ per week) but our business tends to be afternoons and weekends, and definitely a long day most Saturdays. Some days can be busy other days can be exceptionally quiet, but we expect our team members to work as hard omn busy days as on quiet ones

We are located in Surbiton, Surrey two minutes walk from Surbiton Station but we are located somewhere that would not make it suitable in terms of distance or cost to travel from East or North London. We are looking for someone who is available in the UK local to Surbiton almost immediately. We have no live in facailities available
