**The Role**:
We are seeking a proactive and personable **Match Night Supervisor** to oversee the smooth running of our 6-a-side football league in Shrewsbury. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a high-quality experience for players and referees by fostering a positive and welcoming environment.

Your responsibilities will include coordinating referees, resolving on-the-spot issues, and building strong relationships with teams to promote ongoing participation and enjoyment. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about football and skilled in communication and organisation.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Match Night Operations**:

- Organise and brief referees before matches.
- Ensure all equipment and pitch setups are ready for the evening.
- Monitor games to ensure they run smoothly and on time.
- **Liaison and Problem-Solving**:

- Act as the first point of contact for teams, resolving any disputes or issues promptly.
- Build strong rapport with players, encouraging positive interactions and fostering a sense of community.
- Mediate and de-escalate conflicts professionally when required.
- **Communication and Reporting**:

- Communicate effectively with referees, teams, and management.
- Provide feedback to referees to help them develop in their role.
- Report match night incidents or feedback to the league manager.
- **Promote the League**:

- Engage with teams to encourage continued participation.
- Promote sportsmanship and inclusivity within the league.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Essential Skills & Experience**:

- Proven experience in a people-facing role, with the ability to build strong relationships quickly.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.
- A good understanding of football rules and gameplay.
- **Desirable Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience in a sports-related role or environment.
- A passion for football and/or experience playing or refereeing.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Friendly, approachable, and confident in dealing with a variety of personalities.
- Calm and professional under pressure.
- A team player who is also capable of working independently.
