The Trust runs a number of commercial operations designed to generate non-core income for re-investment into patient care. The two main areas of success are NHS Fleet Solutions and NHS Home Electronics. Both businesses operate in the competitive salary sacrifice marketplace. An office-based team consisting of 50 members of staff have responsibility for the delivery of the service.

The Account Management Support Officer will work closely with the field-based account managers and will report into the Customer Operations Manager, on a day-to-day basis. The Account Management Support Officer is responsible for supporting the account management function responsible for customer accounts of both NHS Fleet Solutions and NHS Home Electronics. The post holder will be required to attend events at client organisation sites - this includes occasional travel and overnight stays.

NHS Fleet Solutions has enjoyed continued success for many years. Today, we supply in excess of 200 public sector client organisations in the UK: including England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland. Collectively, these organisations lease 35,000 cars for their employees, which accumulates in a turnover exceeding £100m.
- Assist with diary scheduling, travel and accommodation bookings for the accountmanager.
- Help prepare for all account management related activities and events.
- Liaise with the marketing team to arrange for marketing material to be produced and distributed to clients.
- To assist with the follow-up actions after an account management meeting has taken place.
- Visit reports to be uploaded into the customer relationship management system.
- Collate background information on the client (NHS Trusts and other public sector organisations) and relay to the account manager in preparation for a meeting.
- Ensure communications are sent in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Assist in the recovery of client debt.
- Work efficiently and enthusiastically towards the team targets.
- Promote the scheme by attending external events - occasional travel and overnight stays will be required.
