We are currently seeking for a** SHIPPING ADMINISTRATOR** to work at a busy site based in **FAWLEY, SOUTHAMPTON SO45**
The Chemicals Shipping Administrator works closely with the Fawley Chemical Scheduler monitoring the progress of Liquid and Gas product movements, via both sea and road.
**The SHIPPING ADMINISTRATOR will be carrying out the following assigned tasks**:
- Responsible for adhering to Site Safety rules and setting safety standards for all personnel including visitors on site.
- Processing orders to include transport scheduling, despatching of product and accurate completion of all despatch documentation while following accurate procedures.
- Monitoring movements over the weighbridge to ensure that they are within U.K legal requirements.
- Monitoring the progress of BCI liquid and keeping product movements together with the associated documentation at every stage.
- Accurate entry of all product movement data on a shipping spread sheets and SAP (goods write on/off and goods issue/receipt).
- Reconciliation of shipping data from the various sources e.g. bill of lading, independent inspectors report, shipping spread sheets and SAP.
- Collation, filing and storage of all shipping documentation according to retention policies.
- Sending out necessary shipping documentation to required distribution in a timely manner.
**You will need to have**:
- Good organisation and excellent communication skills.
- Professional and punctual at all times.
- Basic numeracy and analytical skills.
- Ability to pay attention to details and transfer data without error.
- Ability to take the initiative to investigate and solve problems or seek help appropriately within restricted timelines.
- Having confidence to liaise with Supervision/Management when making decisions or needing advice.
- Ability to manage own workload, while working both independently and within a team.
- Previous logistics experience and familiarisation with product movement processes are essential.
- Open to learning new systems for which training will be provided.
**Working hours will be Monday to Friday**
**PAY: £12.48 per hour**
