**Job Description - Trainee Mortgage & Protection Adviser** **The role** This is a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Mortgage and Protection adviser to join the UK’s most trusted* mortgage advisers. You will learn and gain experience across all areas of a Mortgage & Protection Advisers role and work closely with senior management, adviser and admin teams to achieve defined learning objectives. Full training and development will be provided and you will be exposed to all areas of the business giving you a fantastic understanding of how a modern day award winning mortgage broker firm operates. You must be either Cemap qualified or actively working towards achieving the qualification. **The activities of the role will vary including;** - Work across different specialist departments within the business to gain a thorough understanding of all aspects of the company - Take new enquiries from clients looking for mortgage advice, qualify the lead, capture details on company systems and book client in - Carry out customer care calls to our existing clients, review their current circumstances to identify insurance shortfalls and new opportunities - Creating referrals and booking appointments for the Protection and General Insurance teams - Sales pipeline progression activity including liaising with a variety of lenders, insurers & solicitors to keep everything moving as smoothly as possible - Carry out a Fact Find and affordability checks with clients to establish circumstances and client requirements - Research cases and make appropriate suggestions as to where a case could potentially be placed - Complete Agreements in Principles and learn various lender sites & portals - Produce quotes and illustrations in order to assist the preparation of a sign up appointment - Working collaboratively with mortgage advisers to enable the most positive outcome for clients - Referring our clients to partner businesses for various services (i.e. home mover services, estate agent, wills, wealth) **You’ll be a crucial part of the team because**: - Over 25 days annual leave per year - Holiday purchase scheme - Flexible hybrid working - Company pension scheme - Company Health care scheme - Uncapped Bonus Structure - *UK's most trusted adviser claim based on First Mortgage being ranked at number 1 in the UK "Mortgage Broker" category by TrustPilot_ **Job Types**: Commission, Permanent, Full-time **Salary**: From £22,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Additional leave - Company pension - Free parking - Health & wellbeing programme - Private medical insurance - Referral programme Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Weekend availability Supplemental pay types: - Bonus scheme - Commission pay - Performance bonus Licence/Certification: - Cemap Qualification (preferred) Work Location: In person
