We are looking for a Transport Team Leader for our Doncaster B&Q site on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to take a leading role in delivering the plan for continued growth and for ensure that your colleagues are consistently providing an excellent service for our customer.
You’ll work the night shift on a 5 from 7 shift pattern, working from 22:00- 06:00.

We are looking to offer a salary of up to £25,145 + 15% night shift premium per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you will do on a typical day:

- Effectively lead site teams operationally and to support people management processes
- Direct and guide your team to meet operational objectives such as service provision, productivity and compliance KPIs
- Ensure driver and vehicle compliance in terms of WTD regulations, planned maintenance and inspections
- Work collaboratively with the site/transport management team to ensure optimum performance and efficiency
What you need to succeed at GXO:

- Previous experience leading a fast-paced transport team, preferably with exposure to retail distribution
- Ability to engage and drive your team
- The ability to effectively communicate in both a written and verbal capacity as well as lead, inspire and motivate a diverse operational team
- An excellent understanding of transport compliance, such as working time directive and vehicle maintenance (a CPC would be a strong advantage)
